Biography
Erik was born in Superior, WI.   He received a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree, with emphasis in painting, from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 1993.   In 2001, he was awarded the first Artist in Residence of Cornucopia Art Center in Lanesboro, MN, where he taught a community drawing class, gave art presentations in the local school and worked on a series of paintings.  He promptly quit his job to pursue art full time and has never regretted it.
In the spring of 2005 he returned to Lanesboro, MN to paint a 12' x 56' outdoor mural with the help of local school children, various organizations and community members.  He completed another mural in the Red Mug Coffeehouse in Superior, WI during the fall of 2006.
In December 2006, Erik moved into the Carleton Artist Lofts in St Paul, MN.  During the summer of 2007, he completed a large outdoor mural at the Bloomington Center for the Arts.  The mural is on two walls of the art center covering 2500 square feet.  He continues to exhibit work through galleries and art crawls.
